
Gilbert Mensah is a prominent Ghanaian community leader based in Gothenburg, Sweden. He serves as the President of the Ghana Union of Gothenburg (GuG), an organization dedicated to uniting Ghanaians in the region and promoting Ghanaian cultural heritage. Under his leadership, the union has actively engaged in various community initiatives and events, fostering unity and cultural preservation among Ghanaians in Sweden.
In addition to his role with GuG, Mensah has been instrumental in strengthening ties between Ghanaian communities in Sweden and the Ghana Embassy in Denmark. He led a delegation of executives from three Ghana unions to the embassy to congratulate and welcome the newly appointed ambassador to the Nordic countries, H.E. Mrs. Amerley Ollennu Awua-Asamoa. During this visit, they discussed proposals to enhance consular services for Ghanaians in Sweden, including the establishment of honorary consular offices.
