
Simon Boahen is a dedicated leader and community organizer within the Ghanaian diaspora in Sweden. He currently serves as the Secretary of the Ghana National Council of Sweden (GNCS), a national umbrella organization that unites various Ghanaian associations across the country to address shared concerns and promote cultural heritage.
In addition to his role at GNCS, Boahen is also the Secretary of the Ghana Union of Gothenburg (GuG), a local association established in 1994 to foster unity among Ghanaians in Gothenburg and its surroundings . Since joining GuG in 2016, he has held multiple positions, including Organizing Secretary, and has been instrumental in managing the union’s media content.
Boahen’s commitment to community development is evident through his active participation in initiatives like the Mobile Consular Services organized by the Ghana Embassy in Copenhagen. These services bring essential consular assistance closer to Ghanaians residing in various parts of Sweden, including Gothenburg.
Residing in Gothenburg, Sweden, Simon Boahen continues to play a pivotal role in strengthening the Ghanaian community, both locally and nationally, through his leadership and organizational efforts.
