Successful AGM and Community Celebration in Malmö – March 2025

The Ghana National Council of Sweden (GNCS) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Malmö in March 2025, marking a successful gathering of the Ghanaian community across Sweden. The AGM brought together delegates from Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö, creating a vibrant platform for discussions, planning, and engagement.

The event was graced by representatives from the Embassy of Ghana in Denmark, who attended in strong numbers to support the Council and its ongoing initiatives. Their presence highlighted the close collaboration between GNCS and the Embassy in fostering connections and supporting the Ghanaian community in Sweden.

During the AGM, members reviewed the Council’s achievements, discussed future plans, and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting unity, culture, and community development among Ghanaians living in Sweden. The meeting was productive, with active participation from delegates who traveled from other cities to contribute to the discussions.

Following the AGM, GNCS hosted a lively after-party, inviting the wider Ghanaian community in Malmö to celebrate together. The event featured music, dance, and camaraderie, giving attendees an opportunity to connect, socialize, and enjoy the vibrant spirit of Ghanaian culture. The combination of the formal AGM and the festive after-party made the occasion both productive and memorable for all participants.

The success of the AGM and community celebration in Malmö is a testament to the dedication of GNCS, its members, and partners in building a stronger, more united Ghanaian community across Sweden.
