The Ghana National Council of Sweden (GNCS), in collaboration with the Embassy of Ghana in Denmark, successfully organized a two-day Mobile Consular Service in Gothenburg as part of its activities for 2025. One of the biggest highlights of GhanaFest 2025 was the incredible variety of traditional Ghanaian food that was available throughout the event. The festival offered visitors a unique opportunity to experience the rich and diverse flavors of Ghana, making the celebration not only a cultural gathering but also a memorable culinary experience. Food vendors served a wide selection of popular Ghanaian dishes that attracted long queues and enthusiastic visitors. Town Hall Meeting
In 2021 GNCS organized a nationwide virtual town hall meeting focused on the general welfare of Ghanaians in Sweden. Thirty-five representatives from various organizations participated in the session. There was another town hall meeting in 2022 where the former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and former Deputy Minister of Trade were special guests. The discussion during this meeting centered around trade and investment opportunities.

COVID-19 Fundraising Initiative

Background and Overview In January 2018, leaders of the Ghanaian associations in Gothenburg, Malmö, and Stockholm initiated plans to visit the then Ambassador, Her Excellency Amerley Ollennu Awua-Asamoa, to discuss consular issues and strengthen engagement between the Embassy and the Ghanaian community in Sweden.
